Chocolate Banana Ice Cream

This chocolate banana ice cream recipe tastes like ice cream but is not ice cream at all! It’s as simple as four ingredients, bananas, cocoa powder, maple syrup, and optional chocolate chips. Ingredients

  • 2 bananas, sliced and frozen
  • 1 Tbs cocoa powder
  • 1 Tbs maple syrup
  • chocolate chips for topping

Directions

Prep

  1. Slice two bananas into coin size pieces and lay out on a cookie sheet.
  2. Freeze for several hours.

Make

  1. Place all the frozen banana slices into a food processor and mix for a minute or until they start to resemble soft serve consistency.
  2. Add maple syrup and cocoa powder and whiz until mixed.
  3. Scrape down the sides with a spatula.
  4. Serve immediately for soft serve or place in freezer for an hour for hard packed chocolate banana ice cream.
  5. Garnish with chocolate chips.

  1. On these recipes it dose not say what a serving size is. I am diabetic so I also need a carb count

      Unfortunately, you are right. For serving size, you could make the recipe and if it says “2 servings”, just divide it into two. Hope that helps!
